Chimpanzee Tracking Safaris

Chimpanzee tracking is one of the most enjoyable ways to experience Uganda’s tropical forests. Walking through the forest in search of chimpanzees gives you the chance to see these intelligent and social primates in their natural environment, while also discovering the rich wildlife and vegetation that surround them.

Our chimpanzee tracking experiences are mainly offered in Kibale National Park, widely known for its large population of chimpanzees. We can also arrange chimpanzee experiences in other destinations, depending on your itinerary and interests.

The experience begins with a briefing before heading into the forest with experienced local guides and trackers. Once the chimpanzees are located, you may watch them feeding, grooming, calling to one another or moving through the trees. They can be surprisingly active and unpredictable, which makes every encounter different.

The forest itself is part of the experience. As you walk along the trails, you may encounter monkeys, birds, butterflies and other forest life, while your guide shares knowledge about the ecosystem and the animals that call it home.
